Emma Bullard

Emma Bullard

Emma Bullard has lived locally for 20 years and her two children went to Meole primary and secondary schools. She worked for Shropshire Council as manager of the Shrewsbury Cycling Town project and still works to get more people cycling, as a cycle instructor and a campaigner with Sustainable Transport Shropshire.

She was employed by Shrewsbury Food Hub until recently and worked with many community groups including the Meet Place on Meole Estate. The Food Hub has won several Mayor's Awards in the Community and Environment categories in recognition of its work.

Emma says:

"This is a time when crucial decisions have to be made locally, nationally and globally. If elected I look forward to working with Green councillor Julian Dean on Shropshire and Shrewsbury Town councils. We will work with people from other parties and groups beyond the councils to develop a Green New Deal, acting on the declaration of climate change emergency by both councils. This will target local issues such as food and fuel poverty, poor air quality and over-development; as well as our urgent climate crisis."
