Transport

We all need to move around, but how can we do it in a socially-just and environmentally-friendly way?

Roads

Probably the biggest transport issue in Shropshire at the moment is Shropshire Council's desire to build the North West "Relief" Road as a kind of second bypass around Shrewsbury.  The Green Party has consistently opposed with project.  You can read the long history of this project here.

Buses

Bus services have been drastically reduced throughout Shropshire in recent years.  Most services cease after 8PM (or much earlier on some routes) and there are few, if any, Sunday services.  Read more here.

Railways

There has been chronic underinvestment in our railways for many years.  You can read the 2023 strike action here.

Walking and Cycling

You can read all our articles on walking here and cycling here.
