Shropshire Council to be urged to take stand against domestic abuse

Following powerful work by an Oswestry resident to highlight the problems of domestic abuse, Shropshire Council is to be urged to become an accredited White Ribbon authority.

Sian is a local teacher who lives with he husband in this ward. She says

“As a teacher who has made their home here in Gatacre, I am passionate about my community and my town. I am involved with the arts locally, and keen to increase disability awareness as my husband is disabled. There is so much that needs to be done in Oswestry. One small but important success will be the replacement of the ugly steps to Horsemarket car park from Shelf Bank with an accessible ramp”.
