FixMyStreet for Porthill

The latest problems for Shropshire Council within Porthill ward reported by users
  • Multiple blocked gullies, 6th June
There are multiple blocks gullies which results in water running down Port Hill and then across the footpath onto the bridge leading into the quarry resulting in water that freezes during the winter months causing slips and trips and risk of injury pedestrians

  • Overgrown hedge obscuring sightlines at crossing point, 5th June
There is a crossing-point at this location on the B4380 (Roman Road) as designated by the tactile paving here, with a route provided to the footpath on the opposite side of the road leading into Radbrook Green and Grangefields,. However, the overgrown hedge(s) on the east side of the road here pretty much totally obscure the view of traffic approaching from the Copthorne/Porthill direction, a risk made more acute by the high speed limit of 40mph. In short, the hedge urgently needs cutting back, with the appropriate consideration taking into account the season of course.

  • Pothole, 4th June
Just course, as the eroded leading to a pothole which is getting bigger due to the subbase being exposed

  • Unemptied Bin. This has been reported to yourselves numerous times., 3rd June
This bin is disgusting. Not far from Children's play area. No point in chastising dog walkers for not disposing of dog waste when the bin is not emptied. As stated above this has been reported on here several times and still not emptied. Disgusting.
